What tags are (examples of tags and tag usage)

Tags are used to group and manage business cards. By grouping together business cards with tags, you can manage lists of business cards and send effective information to the groups of cards.

Here we will explain:

  1. Examples of tag usage
  2. Types of tags (Shared tags, My tags (public), My tags (private))
  3. Tags for efficient operation
  4. Steps to using tags (Creating, attaching, using)

1. Examples of tag usage

You can set parent/child relationships to tags. For more details, see here.
We recommend that you imagine how you can use business cards lists made from tags added to them, and then create tags.

How it can be used ・Sending thank you messages and mails asking for appointments to people who attended these events
・Sending invitations to come to the next event to people who seem interested
・Sending greeting mails around the holiday season
・Download and print address labels
・Download and print address labels
・Make and use approach lists for each industry

*Tags will be displayed in the order of the character encoding. By putting numbers in front (such as 01., 02.) it is easier to view them.
*At most two levels can be made. Grandchild tags cannot be made.

2. Types of tags

Tags can be broadly divided into "Shared tags" and "My tags", and what you can do with them depends on the owner of the tag (yourself or someone else).

When creating tags, please set them as you plan to use them.

  Characteristics Tag examples

Shared tags

Lists that need to be managed by the whole company

・Greeting card lists
・Attendees to seminar about product A
My tags

Lists that you do not want others to use

・Meet and greets with people from other industries
・Colleagues from previous jobs
My tags

Private lists that you do not want to share with others

・Friends from university

*See here for how to do settings for permissions.
*When cards are set to be viewed only by individuals, even with permission to update all data, these tags cannot be used.

・Differences between shared tags, private tags, and public tags

3. Tags for efficient operation

There have been cases where tags that users try so hard to make end up requiring effort to maintain and thus causing trouble for operations later.
Please see the chart below for groupings that take good operation into consideration.

  Characteristics Tag type

Good example

・There is no change in attributes
・There are not many different types

・Seminar attendees
・People to be mailed
・Industry / Field

Bad example

・Attributes can change (resulting in out-of-date information being used)
・Information that is already on the business cards themselves (searches can be done for this without using tags)

・New / Existing customer
・Geographical area (Shibuya, etc.)
 Title name (Sales manager, etc.)
・Don't mail
 (→Manage in filter)

4. Steps to using tags

To make use of tags, the three steps of "Create", "Attach", and "Use" are necessary.
Please use the help pages below as a reference and try using tags!
