You can choose the language you would like card input to be done in from Scanner app.
There are two ways to do this.
- 1. Set a default
- 2. Select each time when scanning
*It is necessary that the language appearing on the side of the card you would like to digitize is the language selected.
Please be aware that if these are not the same, transcribing may be done for a different language than you wanted.

Note: If the vast majority of the cards are in Japanese, or if the users using Sansan are Japanese, we recommend setting the default language to "Japanese". Then you will only need to select language from the home screen when you scan in a card in a different language.
1. Setting the default.
From "Menu" at the top right of the screen, go to "Settings", then "Language To Transcribe", select a language, and then press the "Update" button at the bottom right of the screen.
2. Selecting the language when scanning
From the home screen, press "Select" under "4. Select language to transcribe", and then choose the input language.
-Please be aware that cards that are scanned other than "Japanese" or "English" will take two to three business days to be digitized.
-Regarding Chinese business cards, if you scan them in "Chinese", the transcribing language will be Chinese (simplified / traditional). Transcribing can be done for both simplified and traditional Chinese characters, but for traditional characters that cannot be transcribed, substitute forms will be used.
