Using Sansan data with Salesforce

Here we will explain how Sansan data can be used with Salesforce. To connect the services, it is necessary to do the following two things first from the Salesforce side.
If these are not set, it will come back as an error, so please do this in advance.

- Create customized fields and buttones for sending data to Salesforce
- Confirmation for Access Privilege for Fieslds

How to Access the Settings Screen

From "Administrator settings", go to "Connect with external services", and then click on "Salesforce.

 

 

1. Authenticate Salesforce Account

Click on "Authenticate Salesforce Account".

 

This will bring you to the Authentication screen of Salesforce. Input your user name and password, and then click on "Log In to ".

Click on "Allow".

Click on "Next". If you would like to authenticate a different account, click on "Undo account authentication".

 

2. Settings for Sending User

Select "Sansan users to send business card information" and "Target Salesforce Account for Transfer", and click "Add". 

After you finish adding users, click "Next".

 

3. Settings for Conditions for Sending

Please select the transferring method. Automatic transferring and manual transferring cannot be used at the same time, so please choose only one of these.

 

Automatic Transferring

Select "Automatic Transferring" .

The target can be set to either of these.

  • "Accounts" and "Contacts"
  • "Leads" (Only for Sales Cloud)

"Accounts" and "Contacts"

Choose the range of business cards to be sent. You can choose to send only business cards after a given date received or date registered (scanned).

 

Accounts

 

Set the fields of the business cards to be sent to Accounts.

 

Choose definition of "same account".

The company ID is the same Based on the business card ID of Sansan and Salesforce, Sansan will decide whether to consider it the same company or not.
The account name is the same Sansan will compare the company name.
The account name and the account site are the same Sansan will compare the company name and department name.

Contacts 

Set the fields of the business cards to be sent to Contacts.

 

Choose definition of "same contact".

The personal ID is the same Based on the business card ID of Sansan and Salesforce, Sansan will decide whether to consider this the same person or not.
The account name, first name, and last name are all the same Sansan will compare the company name, first name, and last name.

 

After the settings are complete, click on "Next".

 

"Leads" (only for Sales Cloud)

Choose the range of business cards to be sent. You can choose to send only business cards after a given date received or date registered (scanned).

 

Set the fields of the business cards to be sent to leads.

Choose definition of "same lead".

The personal ID is the same Based on the business card ID of Sansan and Salesforce, Sansan will decide whether to consider this the same person or not.
The account name, first name, and last name are all the same Sansan will compare the company name, first name, and last name.

 

After the settings are complete, click on "Next".

 

Manual Transferring

Select "Manual transferring"

 

The target can be set to either of these.

  • "Accounts" and "Contacts"
  • "Leads" (Only for Sales Cloud)

4. Starting and Stopping Sending

Choose the Salesforce account to be used to send a sample business card to, and then click on "Transfer Test". If it is successful, click on "Start Transfer".
*Business card data will be sent gradually, not instantly.
