What to be careful of when doing business card data import

Here we will explain about things to be careful of for "Recognition as same person" when importing external data into Sansan

Getting started

You cannot overwrite data already stored in Sansan by doing an import of business card data.

Imports done in Sansan, just like scanning business cards, creates new business card data.

When creating business card data from an import, if there is the business card data for the same person, either automatic recognition as same person will be done, or candidates for recognition as same person will be found.

Importing and Recognition as same person1. Regarding business card images

After import, if the conditions are met, cards will be recognized as being from the same person. For the conditions for recognition as same person, please see here, "What recognition as same person is".

In the recognition as same person process, the card with the more recent date received will be treated as the most recent card.

When importing, as there is no business card image, if the imported data is considered to be the most recent, the card that was already in Sansan will be handled as a past card , and thus no business card image will be displayed.

If you would like cards that are already in Sansan to be recognized as most recent cards, leave the date received blank in the import data.

* After importing, you can change which card is the most recent. For how to do this, see "Changing the most recent business card after recognition as same person".

Importing and Recognition as same person 2. Tag settings

When importing, by using tags attached to cards, you can delete business card data. However, when doing this, the business card data originally in Sansan will also be deleted.

When changing which is card is more recent, some manual actions are necessary. For how to do this, see "Changing the most recent card after recognition as same person".
